Where to Rescue a dog or cat in Washington, DC?

Each year, millions of dogs and cats wind up in animal shelters across the United States, and a large percentage of those precious animals must be euthanized because of the lack of homes. So, it goes without saying that the single most important duty we can do to save our pet population is get our animal companions spayed and neutered. It just so happens that February is “Spay and Neuter Awareness Month,” and what better way to raise awareness and celebrate the lives our furry friends than to highlight the importance of neutering as well as share valuable information about pet rescue groups!

In Washington, D.C., our beloved nation’s capital, we are fortunate to have access to fantastic pet rescue resources. Below is a list of details regarding three wonderful organizations, City Dogs Rescue and City Kitties, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, and The Human Rescue Alliance.
